This weekend I had a chance to go visit the Botanical Gardens in Washington, DC and really enjoyed the lush beauty. My favorite was the orchid garden, where, even though I had to protect my camera from the occasional misting, I found so many amazing species of orchids to photograph. If you get a chance and love flowers and plants, definately go visit, it's just a metro ride away!

This past weekend I had my first experience with equine competition photography at Surefire Farms. I was so impressed with the amount of dedication and discipline both riders and horses shared. What an amazing horsemanship! I'd like to extend a thanks to Blair and her Teddy (first three photos) for inviting me out to shoot photos and show me around the courses. What an awesome way to spend Sunday!

These are from an engagement shoot that I did last weekend for the soon to be married Martha Elena and Josh! We lucked out and had beautiful weather, it was just perfect. I will be shooting at their wedding in September...I can't wait, they're such an awesome couple!

I couldn't get enough of Amelia...I just wanted to eat her! I'm suprised that Willy and Elaine let me play with her so much, because everytime I had her in my arms, I was ready to take a nibble.

Finally Livingston had someone to play with on vacation and I had someone to scrapbook with in the evenings! We had a great time and got to spend time and laugh with eachother...

In the end, we had a fantastic time relaxing and having fun. Families were able to spend quality time with eachother and enjoy the sun and surf. I'm so thankful to have them!
